While he is well known for
having played several elves in the Lord of the Rings film trilogy, Jason
Secto is much more than simply an extras actor; Jason also worked in the art
department on the trilogy. He earned a Bachelors of Design Art degree and
has worked freelance as an illustrator, art director, and creative director
for advertising agencies and the like since 1987. An accomplished artist who
owns his own gallery - "Piece" in Newtown, Wellington, NZ since 1999, Jason
has had about 25 solo exhibitions since 1994 and teaches classical technique
at the famed Inverlocy Art School in Wellington. In 1999, Jason traveled to
Italy, Paris, and London to draw and paint and has a passion for nature.
